As an **Assistant Brand** **Manager**, you will report to Senior Brand Manager based in Clayton, VIC. You will help develop the brand’s strategy, manage the new product development process and work with other divisions to support all departments of the brands.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist the Senior Brand Manager in market research, and strategy development.
- Manage internal and external Product Development Managers and Engineers. Promote new product concepts through all phases of the development process.
- Assist in budgeting and reporting.
- Enforce discipline on all branding activities following brand guidelines. Approve all branded marketing materials.
- Help develop product marketing plans (naming, pricing, packaging development, merchandising and other product marketing activities).
- Provide product training and technical backup to other divisions (Sales, Marketing, Support).
- Represent the brand at annual industry trade shows.
- Support corporate Marketing on activities for your brand or brands - Advertising and Promotional plans, Media Plan, Public Relations, Merchandising, eCommerce, Partnerships, Tradeshows and Events, and social media.
- Support corporate Supply Chain division on activities for your brands - sourcing, manufacturing, procurement, and quality control of product.

**Requirements**:

- Team player and Project management skills
- Experience working with external agencies (such design agencies)
- Understanding basic finance methodologies
- A detailed understanding of the Australian and New Zealand retail industry as it relates to the FMCG markets.
- Experience in B2B environment and copywriting in a professional context.
- Minimum 3 years marketing or brand management experience in a high-volume consumer goods company.
