Your part in Buderim Private Hospital

The Medical Receptionist will support the overall, daily operation of the Private Practice Psychiatrist rooms. You will be responsible for managing a busy front desk reception, liaising with patients and all aspects of office administration that is important to the efficient flow of Sessional/Doctors rooms and connection where necessary with other areas or departments of the hospital.

Role responsibilities:

- General reception duties, answering phones, patient bookings, eftpos reconciliation
- Medicare, DVA & Private Health Fund billing
- Medical Typing
- Monitoring of supplies - ensuring clinical and stationery supplies are adequately stocked.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient service delivery in our fast-paced, specialist environment
- Supervising the day-to-day operations of the practice.

Acting in a professional manner at all times, you will demonstrate a patient focussed approach and understand the need to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. You will also demonstrate:

- Previous Experience in a similar role, within the healthcare industry
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies and procedures
- Proficient in using medical software, Gentu, Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems
- Passionate about working with people and an approachable management style
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word
- High attention to detail
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work Autonomously
