The School of Chemistry and Physics is establishing a pool of Sessional Academics who can support learning and teaching across the chemistry and physics majors and related minors in the Bachelor of Science.

**Successful applicants will have the following**:

- Minimum of an Honours or master’s degree in an area relevant to chemistry or physics
- Knowledge and understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in chemistry or physics
- Computer, administrative and record keeping skills using software like Outlook, Canvas, and Excel
- Ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds using effective interpersonal skills with a proven capacity to communicate effectively
- Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism, act with direction and maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.

Successful applicants
**may be** contacted by unit coordinators and provided with semester based sessional teaching contracts that match your profile. Your resume will remain on file for 12 months.

Sessional contracts should only be accepted if the appointee is confident they have the capacity to complete the appointed hours.
