The School of Mathematical Sciences is seeking to establish a pool of Sessional (Casual) Academic Staff to support the school’s teaching activities across the Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Data Science degrees, and other related units. The school teaches units in the areas of applied mathematics, statistics, operations research and data science.

The primary duties of sessional staff are to run weekly workshops for specific units, and mark and provide feedback on students’ submitted work and/or examinations. Other duties, such as supporting student communication, or lecturing, may arise on occasion.
**Study Requirements**
Applicants are required to have a minimum of an Honours or Masters degree in a related discipline (such as mathematics, engineering, or a science with a significant mathematical component), and experience of teaching in a higher education setting. In exceptional circumstances a Bachelors degree with significant relevant industry experience may be considered.
