**ABOUT OUR CLIENT**

Our client is a private education provider that has a long & rich history in providing tertiary educational services to Victorians for over 100 years. They have a portfolio of schools that offer a wide range of learning opportunities to both domestic and international students.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting through to the Head of Department, as Course Coordinator you will be responsible for all day to day operational matters, as well as provide academic leadership for the teaching staff in the courses they coordinate.

**KEY**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide academic and operational leadership to Higher Education staff;
- Assist in the development of new courses including providing support to the course advisory committee and conduct research as required;
- Assist in the establishment and management of external articulation arrangements, moderation arrangements and bench marking of performance;
- Assist the Head of Department and management team to achieve organisational outcomes including marketing, finance budgeting, student admission, graduation and alumni communications;
- Assist with conducting an annual internal audit of Higher Education operations;
- Contribute to development, review and renewal of academic policies and procedures;
- Monitor, assess and measure student progress, performance and satisfaction with academic programs.

**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- Possess a detailed understanding of the Higher Education Governance Framework and the Australian Qualifications Framework etc;
- Hold a post graduate qualification in the relevant field or discipline that is reflective of the courses to be coordinated;
- Possess high level communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrate initiative and extensive problem solving skills;
- Have a keen eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines;
- Have a strong commitment to quality assurance.
