**About the role**:
The role of the Procurement Officer is to support key business stakeholders and assist in all aspects of procurement function for Sime Darby Motors entities in Australia. This role is for a fixed term of 6 months with a possibility of permanent placement. In this role you will also work closely with operating entities to add value to procurement processes and supplier relationships for ultimate benefits of the Sime Darby Group.

**Roles and responsibilities will include**:

- Assist in the roll out of Procurement Policies (GPPA's) & SOP's
- Assist in the training/refreshers on the GPPA implementation /adoption at workplace - creation of awareness.
- Review of suppliers ensuring good governance on their appointment and ongoing relationships.
- Work with the Australian Motors businesses as well as the Motors Procurement Department in Malaysia to provide procurement services, guidance and advise for the Australian operations.
- Be the point of reference for GPPA and Divisional Standard Operation Procedures.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- 2+ years' experience in procurement
- Ability to manage many tasks as necessary from Senior management in Australia and Malaysia in a timely fashion.
- Sound understand of tender documentation
- Knowledgeable computer skills especially Microsoft
- Excellent interpersonal skills
