Our Federal Government client is seeking an
**APS6 Procurement Officer** who can provide in-house procurement related enabling services to the Department to assist in delivering outcomes.

**About the role**:

- Provide high quality, practical and timely procurement advice and guidance that comply with the departmental policies and procedures
- Ensure the Department adheres to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and ensure Value for Money in all procurement activity
- Provide procurement advice and guidance to business areas on the procurement process
- Review procurement documentation
- Contribute to the reviewing, development and implementation of procurement systems, strategies, policies and processes and the preparation and implementation of the Section’s key performance measures and reporting requirements
- Submitt Requests for Quote on AusTender on behalf of Department business areas
- Maintain and promote internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Provide advice on Contract Management activities within the Department
- Mentor junior procurement officers

**Ideally, you will have**:

- Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting).
- Procurement experience.
