**About the role**

You’ll be reporting to the Director of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT), your role supports and oversees cloud-based infrastructure solutions on the Azure platform. The Azure Lead will develop and implement processes for managing Azure resources to ensure efficiency, reliability, and security.

You’ll be responsible for working with the project teams, external stakeholders, and end users to define system requirements, complex implementations, custom development, and tracking the overall success of the Azure environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Provisioning and configuring Azure Services including but not limited to Azure App Services, Storage Accounts, and SQL databases.
- Works collaboratively to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems relating to Azure and related systems.
- Works collaboratively to monitor the Azure Infrastructure and related systems.
- Share, develop, and maintain comprehensive documentation of the organisations infrastructure and services including support and architectural documents for use across other parts of the organisations ICT.
- Lead the technical direction for all aspects of Azure projects with an understanding of the impact on the organisation.
- Assist in major projects and Azure enhancements, through implementation of changes and releases following correct Change management procedures.
- Provide on-call support and out of hours maintenance and infrastructure support when required.
- Provide day-to-day housekeeping/ maintenance of infrastructure, files, and user accounts.
- Provide technical guidance, instruction, and documentation to the ICT branch.
- Leverage experience with cloud native tools (i.e. Azure, AWS) to review metrics and monitor the health/ utilisation of our cloud services.
- Other duties as required.

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience working within Azure Infrastructure, connectivity, and service environments.
- Demonstrated capability and expertise in implementing network solutions and improving the efficiency of existing networks in Azure.
- Effective communicator and listener, be able to build and maintain good relationships with our stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated, keen to contribute to improving systems and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

**Mandatory experience**
- Demonstrated Certification in Azure.
- Demonstrated experience in **DevOps infrastructure.**:

- Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of backup and disaster recovery solutions in the Azure environment.

**Position-Specific Requirements**
- Current Victoria’s Driver's Licence.
- This position will involve some evening work plus occasional overnight travel.
