This is a fast-growing specialist commercial cleaning provider operating in Melbourne and Regional Victoria. The sectors that they service include primarily residential apartment building common areas (owners corporations), offices and food manufacturing. **Your new role**
The Area Manager position will be responsible for approximately 30 sites (more sites to added to portfolio as the business grows) and currently around 60 team members. The key responsibilities of this role include:
Admin:

- Review and approve all completed shifts in the task management system
- Manage staff shifts and rosters
- Manage and organise periodic tasks for all sites
- Recruit, induct and arrange training for new staff
- Assist the payroll officer with team hours and other payroll enquiries
- Provide time and attendance reports for clients
- Compile and send resident breaches to management for review and on-charge to clients
- Other admin tasks as required

On-Job Supervising:

- Oversee a number of teams across varying sites and geographical locations
- Perform on job cleaning work while assessing and improving team quality
- Ensure a high standard of cleaning for all contracts
- Communicate with all teams via phone and group WhatsApp to advise of tasks requiring improvement, and follow up to ensure requests have been actioned in a timely manner
- Train staff in accordance with the Operations Manuel and oversee staff performance
- Proactively liaise with clients and ensure that they are satisfied with the service
- Oversee safety compliance
- Solve cleaning issues
- Strong customer service approach with a positive can-do attitude
- Effective time management
- Build and maintain a strong team culture
- Supervise and assist in more specialised cleaning tasks
- Manage equipment including arrangement of periodic test and tagging and overseeing regular maintenance
- Provide input to the Operations Manager and Director in system improvements

**What you'll need to succeed**
- At least one year cleaning experience
- Management / team leading experience
- Administrative experience
- Experience using some specialist equipment including scrubbers, wet vacs, carpet machines, car park scrubbers, buffers, pressure washers
- Advanced English skills, written and spoken
- At least intermediate Spanish would be looked upon favourably
- Full time availability
- Full car drivers license
