Famous for our flame grilled steaks and ribs, Hurricane’s Grill & Bar steakhouses are well-known worldwide. The Hurricane’s brand spans 27 years with our first Sydney steakhouse opening in Roscoe Street, Bondi Beach in 1995.

Co-founder and CEO Tony Teixeira, heads up Hurricane’s Management Pty Lt, having started Hurricanes over 2 decades ago.

This is role is perfect for hospo employee who still loves the industry, but wants to grow into a more managerial role of the industry.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Drafting of employment contracts, variations and employee related paperwork;
- Liaising with Payroll regarding new hire and termination paperwork;
- Performance management and disciplinary administration.
- Posting vacancies to various sourcing channels, conducting references and background checks and generating letters of offer;
- Screening, interview, and recruitment of staff
- Responding to day-to-day queries, assisting staff as required and escalating issues as appropriate;
- Coordinating compliance requirements-VEVO checks and qualifications
- Workers compensation and Health and Safety requirement adherence.
- Immigration & sponsorship
- Operational administration assistance - aiding in the running of business.
- Supervision of marketing contractors performance
- General ad-hoc office administration

Required skills & attributes:

- Human Resources Qualifications (or working towards)
- Previous experience working in the HR department.
- Experience with Award interpretation and Enterprise agreement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Highly motivated, positive with a friendly disposition
- Leadership, the ability to problem-solve and use your initiative
- Effective time management skills with the ability to organise and prioritise
- Hospitality experience
- Ability to adapt to any environment with ongoing change

This role is a full-time role, we may require the flexibility from you to work extra hours if required.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bondi Beach, NSW 2026: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Human resources: 2 years (preferred)

- Australia (required)
