**Instructional Designer**

**Who we are**:
Mobility Access Modifications is a company based in Preston that specializes in modifying homes for the elderly and mobility impaired. We have over 20 years of experience in servicing Melbourne and surrounds.

We are focused on developing our people. As we grow, so does the need for consistent, engaging, and effective training. We’re building an internal learning platform—and we’re looking for a creative and experienced Instructional Designer to help bring it to life.

**What we offer**
- Flexible in working hours and days.
- Sub Contractor - 6 months project.
- Location onsite and our Preston office 2 to 3 days a week required for filming/photography.
- Home office set up with current software for Graphic Design, Video and eLearning eg: Moodle.

**What you’ll do**:
Review & Organize Existing Content

Audit current training materials, SOPs, and documents.

Translate them into engaging, easy-to-understand learning modules.

Design & Develop Interactive Training

Build eLearning modules, micro-learning, and video-based content using tools like Articulate 360, Captivate, or similar.

Add interactivity (quizzes, branching scenarios, simulations) to keep training engaging and practical.

Onboarding Programs

Develop structured onboarding pathways for new hires.

Ensure role-specific knowledge is clearly communicated and accessible.

Work with managers to shorten “time to productivity.”

Knowledge Checks & Assessments

Create short quizzes, scenario-based questions, and practical knowledge checks.

Track results and report on learner performance to highlight knowledge gaps.

Collaboration with Teams

Make sure training aligns with company goals, compliance needs, and role expectations.

Continuous Improvement

Collect feedback from employees and managers to improve learning experiences.

Monitor training effectiveness and update content regularly.

Stay current with new learning technologies and recommend improvements.

Video and take photo’s of our tradespeople completing tasks onsite or in a workshop setting.

Edit footage into polished, instructional videos with voiceovers or on-screen guidance

**Who you are**:

- Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Instruction, Learning Sciences/Designs or similar.
- Experience with Learning Technologies.
- Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Cornerstone).
- E-Learning Tools - proficiency in Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Storyline, Rise, or similar.
- Assessment and Evaluation - designing knowledge checks, quizzes, and performance assessments.
- Strong video filming and editing skills.
- Project Management - managing multiple learning projects, timelines, and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking - translating complex content into learner-friendly materials.
- Self-directed, organised, and detail-oriented.
- Good communication verbal and written.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Preston VIC 3072
