Group Manager

We are seeking a Group Manager - Shared Services. You will oversee the shared services function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, for all subsidiary businesses across the group.

**The role**

This leadership role, reporting directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer, will focus on enhancing team performance, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and optimising operations to achieve exceptional outcomes for the organisation. You will also take the lead in identifying and driving process improvements, utilising automation and AI technologies where applicable.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

- Oversee the daily operations of shared services, ensuring efficiency, consistency, compliance with company policies, and the delivery of high service levels.
- Provide strategic direction for shared service functions, aligning with the overall business strategy.
- Lead and support the shared services teams.
- Develop and implement best practices, policies and procedures to improve shared service delivery.
- Implement and lead process automation and digital transformation initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Proactively collaborate with subsidiary businesses to assess needs, address challenges and enhance service offerings.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements in all shared services functions.
- Leverage key performance indicators to measure service effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Follow up all debtor claims and invoices across each subsidiary business, and report back to the project and commercial managers as required.
- Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and End of Month processes as required.

**About you**

You will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- Proven experience leading shared services or transactional accounting teams.
- Previous experience across key areas - Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and leading by example.
- Excellent communication, business partnering and problem-solving abilities.
- Adept at prioritising deliverables in a fast paced, complex environment.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of commercial accounting software and systems.
- Experience using Jobpac (ERP) and ABBYY (OCR) (desirable).
