**About CCSD**:
The Austin Health Central Sterilizing Services Department (CSSD) engages in all aspects of decontamination, packaging, sterilizing and storage of re-usable medical devices. We are located across two sites, the Austin Hospital and the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital.

**A regular day in this role will see you**:

- Clean, disinfect and sterilize reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment
- Ensure that sterile supplies are stored and handled correctly
- Communicate with relevant staff when equipment is faulty
- Have a Certificate IV or III in Sterilising Services and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician in a hospital setting.
- Have current knowledge of sterilisation techniques
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be highly organised and motivated with the ability to multitask in a busy workplace
- Have ability to prioritise and a high attention to detail
- Be team orientated
- Be able to work shift work including night shifts
