**What you will be doing**

Peninsula Health’s Central Sterilising Department (CSSD) is instrumental in providing decontamination and sterilisation processing services at Frankston Hospital and area’s within Peninsula Health. As a member of the CSSD Management team the Instrument technician Grade 5 will work in collaboration with the CSSD Manager to ensure the highest standard of patient care is provided at all times.
The Instrument Technician Grade 5 is required to efficiently and effectively supervise Instrument Technicians on duty ensuring all staff are working per AS4187 standard. The Grade 5 Instrument Technician will demonstrate leadership and lead by example ensuring a safe work environment.

**What You Will Need**
We anticipate that you will have:

- A Certificate IV in Health - Sterilising Practice for Technicians or equivalent, awarded by a registered training organisation that has been approved by the AIC.
- Have extensive experience as an instrument technician
- Have the ability to work in all areas of a CSSD department or unit with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
- Have the ability supervise staff in an efficient manner.
- Have a commitment to achieving best practice.
- Have Commitment to customer service and good written and communication skills.
