Pegasus supports and partners with government, not-for profit and private organisations in the disability, mental health, youth and children’s services.

**About the Opportunities**
- Pegasus Care _now has opportunities available for qualified and dedicated Youth Support Workers (Trauma Specialists) to join our multi-disciplinary team with the purpose of creating a healing environment through the provision of trauma informed care to children and young people residing in crisis/temporary out of home care.

The aim of the program is to successfully set the children/young people up to transition to an appropriate living environment in the future.

**_Please note: This is not a disability support role or a childcare role_**

**About You**

To be considered for this position, you will hold a minimum of a Diploma in a Youth, Psychology or Community Services related field.

You must have demonstrated minimum of six months experience working with children and young people in Out of Home Care and an understanding of the Legislation relevant to the role.

Due to the nature of the role, you will have experience in working with children and young people in accommodation and with high and complex needs. You will need to be confident in your abilities to provide high levels of support as well as maintaining high levels of self-care.

Additionally, you need to have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, strong problem-solving skills, crisis management knowledge and intermediate computer competencies.
- AUSTRALIAN Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- A current AUSTRALIAN Driver's License;
- A current First Aid/CPR Certificate;
- A current Working With Children's' Check;
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A current National Criminal History Record Check which is _less than six months old._
- NDIS on-line training module certificate “Worker Orientation Module - Quality, Safety & You”
