The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. NAC is based 35km north-west of Toowoomba and plays a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

**About the role**:
As NAC continues to progress, we are inviting expressions of interest for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join the Mobile Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working a 5/2 roster and reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the mine’s technical systems & continuous improvements operate safely efficiently and effectively.

**What you will do**:

- Actively develop the people, processes, and systems to ensure safe, efficient and consistent maintenance activities on site
- Manage Contractors within the technical systems & continuous improvement areas to ensure effective and efficient service delivery and compliance
- Coordinate & plan for all aspects of continuous improvement, which includes asset management strategies, KPI target areas for improvement, system upgrades, budgeting, life cycles, purchasing, maintenance and disposals
- Lead by example and comply with New Hope Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times

**To be considered for these opportunities you will bring**:

- Mechanical Trade Qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering fields
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Coordinator or in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry sector
- Experience in budgeting, cost management and continuous improvement processes
- Experience in the use of Electronic Reporting Platforms and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
- Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (Or willing to obtain)
- Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Letourneau machines
- Queensland driver’s licence (manual)
- Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable)
