We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Como Aged Care Home. Bethanie Como is a 99 bed luxury facility that provides a full range of aged care services with a focus on allied health support and personalised care.

This is a **permanent part-time** role working **12 hours per fortnight** with the following shift pattern:

- **Week 1**: Tuesday 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM
- **Week 2**: Tuesday 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM

To be successful in this role, you will have experience or an interest in food preparation and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture. You may also have the opportunity to be trained in and work across the roles of Domestic Assistant / Cleaner and Laundry Assistant.

**About You**
- Possess a passion for or previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations

**The Role**
- Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensuring required ingredients are available daily
- Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery
