**Casual Disability Support Workers needed in Taylors Hill, Taylors lakes, Deer Park and surrounding areas.**

Empowering Options - we are a Disability Service Provider and NDIS registered provider in Victoria. We employ individuals dedicated to providing quality, sustainable and flexible services, that uphold human rights and create opportunities, empowering individuals to live the life they choose.

We are currently looking for **Disability Support Workers in Taylors Hill, Taylors lakes, Deer Park and surrounding areas.**

**Providing services that include (but are not limited to): Personal care, Prompting of medication, Meal preparation, active and engaging communication (MUST), daily living supports and community access.**

**Must have a minimum of 1 year experience with complex clients and with personal care.**

As a Support Worker you will need to demonstrate the following:
Ability to understand the vulnerabilities and needs of people with disability and the issues faced by their families.

Commitment to the welfare, rights, and personal development of people with disabilities

To understand and maintain confidentiality and privacy of clients

Maintain individual’s and service records in an objective manner which is clear and concise in accordance with Empowering Options' policy and procedures

**DUTIES INCLUDE**:

- Assisting to access the community and social programs
- e.g. Daily living, Personal care, Transport to Medical appointments, Shopping and/or social outings AND assisting clients with daily activities.

**REQUIREMENTS**

To be considered for this role you must have the below mandatory requirements:

- Hold Certificate or currently studying IV/III in Disability/or in Ageing Support/ Cert III individual support or have a level of understanding towards caring for people with disabilities.
- Current Certificate for First Aid and CPR
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- You must be a reliable, responsible attitude towards work and able to commit to regular hours.
- A current driver’s license and access to vehicle with a comprehensive insurance that you can use for work purposes and be available for shifts.
- Willing to complete both NDIS Orientation Module (**free of charge**) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Evidence of eligibility to work within Australia.
- You must have and/or willing to obtain the Australian police check

**Salary**: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
