We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax Analyst to join the CGA team

THE POSITION
- Work closely with the Tax Manager and our external advisors to ensure timely and accurate lodgement of all tax obligations, including corporate income tax, GST, payroll tax, fringe benefits tax, fuel tax and PAYG reporting.
- Provide tax support and advice to the business as required
- Identification of planning opportunities
- Tax technical research and recommendations
- Assist with management of audits with tax authorities and our external auditors
- Maintenance of the Australian tax fixed asset register
- Advice on the implications of significant transactions - M&A, corporate restructures etc.
- Assist in setting and maintaining local tax policy and tax governance framework pursuant to the Group’s policy and the published guidance from the ATO
- Assist with monitoring tax key financial controls, recommend improvements where appropriate
- Recommend and implement tax process improvements and efficiencies in collaboration with the Finance Team
- Prepare, review and maintain key tax related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Preparation of tax budget and forecasts as required
- Review of tax effect accounting and year-end tax journals
- Monthly cash tax reporting to Group
- Maintain general ledger and reconcile tax related accounts

THE PERSON
- CA or CPA qualified
- 5+ years tax experience, professional and/or corporate
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Proactive, hardworking attitude and a high level of accountability
- Strong teamwork and an emphasis on striving for continuous improvements
- Experience with Oracle (desirable)
- Exposure to contract based, services or retail businesses (desirable)
