Purpose
This role completes the accounting process for an APAC operating site within the APAC Accounting team (based in Subiaco, Perth). The scope of the role includes the provision of mine site accounting, budgeting/forecasting, analytical and management reporting services to the stakeholders outlined in the Working Relationships section.
**Key deliverables of this role include, but not limited to**:

- Management Reporting: Take ownership for the completion of all tasks on the month-end accounting checklist, ensuring a high quality accounting service is provided in a timely way to the site operation (site business analyst team) and the APAC accounting department stakeholders.
- Denver Accounting Team: Contribute to the preparation of monthly/quarterly management reports for the Denver office (Post Close Call and Flux reports) in an accurate and timely manner.
- Business Partnering: Establish and maintain positive business partnerships with site metallurgy, geology and business analyst teams as well as the regional tax team and the wider accounting department.
- Team Participation: The accounting analyst will be expected to work collaboratively within the Operations Accounting team to resolve problems, share ideas for process improvements and work together to achieve all deliverables
- Project Involvement: Complete projects as directed by the Accounting Manager - APAC ('Manager') within specified timeframes. Complete Ad-hoc cost / business analysis and reporting as requested by site and regional business planning teams
- Sox Control Environment: Participate with completion of SOx documentation for site operations, liaise with the Manager and Senior Analyst: Operations Accounting APAC ('Senior Analyst') to resolve all review questions and finalise SOx sign-offs each period.
- Business Planning: In conjunction with the business planning team and site business team, assist with the preparation of site forecasts, annual budgets and LOM plans (including P, balance sheet and cash flow) as directed. Liaise with the Manager and Senior Analyst to resolve problems and enable successful review and completion.
- External and Government Reporting: Act as primary preparer of local statutory accounts under IFRS for site operation. Prepare royalty returns for submission to the government authority. Liaise with auditors to resolve queries in relation to these royalty returns and enable them to be finalised with no material errors.

Dimensions
**This role is responsible for**:

- Working effectively in a team collectively responsible for mine site accounting in the APAC region
- Day to day: Provide support to stakeholders at site and in the regional office requesting analysis of site costs and statistics
- Monthly: Accurate and timely management reporting for the mine site, as well as preparation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance (SOx) documentation
- Quarterly: Completion of monthly tasks and expanded reporting used as the basis for external audit review and stock exchange reporting
- Annually: Participation in preparation of annual business plan, statutory accounts and tax submissions
