Connections Support Team Leader

**The role**:
The Team Leader will manage several different roles within the team and will be required to manage call escalations and complaints, provide technical expertise across all aspects of the Land Development life cycle, provide oversight and approval of agreements prior to dispatch and management of the monthly Account Customers and Invoicing.

This role will see the incumbent striving to improve processes and collaboration between teams and to build a team who is high performing and engaged.

**Who are you?**:

- At least five years' experience in a similar type of position, managing a team of diverse roles.
- The ability to train and motivate staff for effective performance incorporating skill enhancement programs and individual performance and development plans.
- An ability to focus on key performance indicators and achieve results.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills and a demonstrated capacity for excellent customer service.
- Detailed knowledge of the Water Act, Water Metering & Servicing Guidelines, Sewer Servicing Guidelines and Land Development policy
- Sound analytical and computer skills including word documents, spreadsheets and other work related databases (ICE, GT Viewer, SWIFT, Property Connect etc).
- High level of negotiation skills to resolve complex servicing and financial requirements with land developers, plumbers, builders, council and other authorities.
- Awareness of commercial issues associated with providing retail water, recycled water and sewerage services.
- Tertiary qualifications in the area of business administration and/or information technology would be desirable.
