Pen Plus is an innovative & progressive allied health business operating across 3 locations on the glorious Mornington Peninsula, supporting children and people of all ages to achieve goals and live their best lives.
Under the Pen Plus umbrella, we offer a range of support, including speech pathology, occupational therapy, teacher of the deaf, early intervention education and allied health assistant services, and education programs run for parents, carers, teachers and allied health.

**We are recruiting for a Team Leader to head up our Support Worker and Allied Health Team.**
- The position is a mixture of support work, supervision and support for the team
- You will be part of Pen Plus's senior leadership team.
- Together with the other Team Leaders, will design, direct, and support the development of the team at Pen Plus.
**About the role**
As a Team Leader, you'll provide leadership, support and direction to a team of Support Workers and Allied Health Assistants, ensuring a high level of support and service is provided to our clients whilst demonstrating and promoting Pen Plus core values.
- Providing day to day support, mentoring, coaching and guidance to CSWs
- Facilitating the onboarding, orientation and training of new Support Workers/AHA.
- Role modelling best practice when delivering client support.
- Maintaining regular communication with Support Workers/AHA wherever possible to establish and maintain relationships and provide direction toward expected outcomes.
- Conducting onsite visits in relation to performance issues, team requests, to provide ongoing support to the team
- Responding to Support Worker/AHA queries or concerns, providing direction and assistance in a timely manner.
- Maintain a small support work caseload.
In this rewarding position, you will support clients to promote their goals and support the development of their skills and abilities whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible. Support Workers must provide frontline support to clients, implement plans, complete records, complete daily living & healthy lifestyle tasks, behave in a certain manner, and promote safety & transparency in all endeavours. **What we are looking for**
Our ideal applicant is a dedicated professional with a desire to make positive differences in the lives of others. You will be a skilled communicator with demonstrated skills in providing support.
A leader who has had experience leading a team.
**Essential Qualifications**
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent qualification, and/or relevant experience in the disability sector,
and
- Proven experience in disability support services, with a track record of leadership and team management.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in disability services.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to promoting the independence, dignity, and rights of individuals with disabilities.
- Experience working with a team

- Drivers Licence & safe driving record
- Comprehensive vehicle insurance (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Valid NDIS Worker Check
- Current police check
- Current WWCC
- Smartphone with internet access
