Assistant Events Manager

**About the Role**

We are looking for an extraordinary, enthusiastic and highly motivated events professional that is inspired to create a unique and memorable guest experience. The position will suit someone who is currently looking to develop their leadership skills & prides in delivering superior customer service at all times Reporting to the Events Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Events team with managing and executing the Events operation.

**Responsibilities included:
- Oversee the events operational team
- Lead by example and having active presence across all events
- Provide job coaching to Events Coordinators and Team Leaders when running and operating large events
- Work closely alongside operational stakeholders to ensure smooth operations e.g Food and Beverage, Marketing, Security
- Act as a primary point of contact for all operational events
- Coordinating and overseeing all events across BDSC and associated venues
- Ensure all events are set up and compliant with WHS standards
- Run and manage multiple events simultaneously
- Manage venues, suppliers, and external stakeholder on all aspects of event operations
- Actively drive key revenue goals and targets of the department

**Essential Criteria**:

- Proven ability to lead, plan and deliver events in a collaborative and professional way within a large organisation
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key and senior stakeholders across multiple parts of an organisation to deliver an outcome
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Experience working within fast paced hospitality environment
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Commitment to a high standard of service and customer focus
- RSA RCG Competency Card or willingness to obtain
