**The role and what we're looking for**

The Finance Specialist will be instrumental in driving the lending growth for Capricorn Society Financial Services business. As an goal oriented, energised and experienced Finance Professional, you will champion and promote our value proposition both directly and indirectly with our Members & Suppliers, along with supporting new loan origination. This is a newly developed role supported by a new leading edge lending platform, where you will have strategic influence through to boots on the ground relationship building.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Proactively liaise with all stakeholders internal and external to Capricorn to develop sales plans and strategy.
- Preparation of credit proposals
- Conduit of Credit functions to prescribe required information to assess credit risk.
- Identifying issues, risks, and benefits of specific markets and transactions
- Attend trade shows and industry events to promote as required
- Recommend pricing with a balanced approach to pricing for risk and commerciality for the Loan Portfolio.
- Build and maintain relationships and consult with internal and external stakeholders to balance, understand and deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Providing business transformation support and change management.
- 2-3 years B2B Finance / business development experience within commercial finance and or Asset Finance (vehicles and / or equipment highly desired).
- Customer-centric (Members, Suppliers, Users) led approach to understanding needs, problems and opportunities.
- A commercial approach with exceptional negotiating skills with an ability to price for risk.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of financial systems and end to end lending process.
- Ability to assess and write business credit.
- Understanding of business structures and business credit assessment.
- Experience in B2B campaign Marketing and advertising (desired)

**Qualifications**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.
