Financial Planning and Pricing Manager

$150k + super

Ensure consistency between budgeting, forecasting, pricing and end of month financial reporting

Hybrid role - 1 day in office

This is a new role for a skilled Financial Planning and Pricing (FPP) Manager. Responsible for developing and managing budget, forecasting and pricing models to support our business's financial performance and growth opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:
Design and implement an operational contract/cost centre/departmental budgeting and forecasting process to be rolled out to the business in FY23, then systemised within the ERP

Review existing Budget models and specific contract cost drivers to assist in redesigning budget models where required

Continually develop and maintain an Excel based forecasting and budgeting tool which ultimately may be built within the ERP system

Design monthly reports and other ad hoc reports/analysis to support the forecast and budget functions, and assist in developing key indicators that support ongoing operational performance

Develop agile cost & pricing models for variations on existing contracts and for new opportunities

Ensure consistent presentation and classifications between cost & pricing models and budget/forecast, including end of month financial reporting

Develop high quality & accurate industry pricing/costing for submission to operational management and senior execs, ensuring key pricing/costing assumptions and risks/opportunities are captured

Support forward-looking business simulations for sound business decision-making, including business case development to support new investment

Coordinate with commercial/business development team and gather information on all business requirements and deliverables

Analyse and incorporate EBAs and indirect taxes into models.

**Requirements**:
CA/CPA or finance qualifications relevant to analysis (e.g. a bachelor's degree in mathematics, accounting, or finance)

Ideally from a chartered background having 4-8 years' relevant experience in a large commercial business including the use of BI and reporting tools

Previous experience within financial analysis

Proven track record in a similar role dealing with senior executives, driving commercial outcomes and process & systems changes.

Knowledge of cost accounting/pricing/cash-flow concepts and an understanding of financial analysis terminology

Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Ability to translate contractual/legal information into financial data to effectively facilitate price optimisation, including managing risks which may impact price

Experienced in ensuring business meets and displays best-practice processes.
