**Description**:

About the role

The Transport driver will ensure adequate transport schedules are delivered to increase efficiency across the service. In addition this position will contribute to continual improvement projects with regards to: patient safety, patient wait time, staff downtime and vehicle maintenance. During transport advocate and advertise on behalf of ATSICHS informing passengers of items such as: clinic locations, hours, services provided and upcoming community and clinic events. Support fellow staff in a team environment to build collegiality and a sense of belongingness within the team and ATSICHS family. Staff will actively participate in team activities and contribute to a flourishing workplace culture that promotes the ethos and values of ATSICHS Brisbane as a long standing Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.

Duties
- Ensure the effective, safe and most efficient transport of passengers
- Effective Communication
- Informing passengers of ATSICHS services
- New client Engagement

**Skills and Experiences**:
COVID-19 Requirements
- A medical certificate signed by a medical practitioner stating you have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccination
- Your immunisation history as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) that clearly shows at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination details
- Your exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) may be submitted.

Required

Current Drivers License.
Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Previous experience as a Transport Driver.
Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply

Preferred

Transport experience in Primary Health setting.
