**The opportunity**

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an APS6 Communications & Change Officer to join the Procurement and Corporate Services Branch.

Labour Hire hourly rate contract spanning 12 months with the opportunity to extend. APS6 level role paying an hourly rate of $60.26 + Superannuation, to be based out of our client's Richmond location.

On offer is 2 days working from home, with 3 on site, hours expected are an average of 37.5 hours across a 5-day working week.

**Responsibilities will include**
- Developing internal and external communications, including executive and ministerial correspondence, presentations, project updates, reports and intranet.
- Developing, implementing, evaluating and communicating change management requirements, plans and schedules including proposing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Consulting, influencing and advising project stakeholders on how to effectively manage, implement and communicate change to various audiences.
- Supporting capital works delivery by providing communication and change support including assessing and streamlining team communication processes and pathways.
- Identifying, assessing and reporting communication and change risks and implementing strategies to resolve.
- Undertaking information collation to assist internal stakeholders communicate responses to inquiries.

**Skills required for the role**
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies within a corporate or organizational setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in digital and social media platforms for communication and marketing purposes.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure the impact of communication activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
