**Apprentice Landscape Gardener/Horticulturist**

Shorescapes Landscaping specialises in the landscape management of high end residential, commercial and industrial properties throughout Sydney's North Shore. We are looking for an new member to our team through an Apprenticeship in Parks & Gardens.

An Apprentice at Shorescapes Landscaping will learn the following skills:

- Mowing and edging lawns
- Hedge trimming and pruning technique's
- Pest identification and control
- Weed management
- Plant identification
- Soil conditioning and plant nutrition methods
- Install gardens
- Install and maintain irrigation systems

Required attributes:

- Artistic perception.
- High attention to detail.
- A mature, friendly, outgoing manner, with good communication skills.
- Honest, fit and hardworking
- Ability to work as part of team.
- Drivers license.

The Apprenticeship takes 4 years to complete. Including attending Tafe one day a week for 3 years.

On completion of your Apprenticeship you will be a qualified Horticulturist in Parks & Gardens Certificate 3. And will be offered an opportunity to continue as part of the Shorescapes Team as a Team Leader or Head Gardener role with Shorescapes.
