**What You Will Be Doing**

The Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator - Mental Health will become an integral member of the education and clinical leadership teams. This position has been funded for 12 months by the Victorian Department of Health and Wellbeing to assist in the development and implementation of a new Transition to Practice Program (TPP). This initiative supports positions for Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists with a minimum of two years professional experience in other sectors to enter the clinical mental health and wellbeing workforce at an appropriate grade.
The Occupational Therapy TTP Clinical Educator, along with the other discipline educators will develop and deliver a tailored and structured learning program, supervision and evaluation to two Occupational Therapists transitioning from other areas of clinical practice. The program will run for 12 months with the TTP based within mental health teams across the service. It is envisaged that at the end of the 12 months Occupational Therapists will have the skills, knowledge and experience required to be able to gain a permanent, grade 2 position within the mental health service.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Occupational therapy qualification and AHPRA registration.
- Current and extensive experience working within a tertiary public mental health service.
- Prior experience in teaching or supporting learners.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-direction.
