**About Us**

Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with a disability such as mental health, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles.

At Real Community Services (RCS) we provide, quality services to people living with a disability within an in-home or community setting. With a brilliant team across Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich, and the Gold Coast, we are there to help our Participants to achieve their goals to live a fulfilling life. **About the role**

This rewarding role will provide direct support to people with disability and your working days will be varied and may involve:

- Community access
- Personal Care, supporting the client with their hygiene routine
- Social support
- Provide mental health and emotional support

**What we are looking for**:

- Suitable disability support worker with nursing skills
- Experience in providing personal care and supporting daily living activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
- A positive and empathetic attitude, with the ability to adapt to the unique needs and preferences of each individual
- Experience in supporting clients with BOC, Mental health and positive behaviours
- Must be patience, friendly and reliable
- Open to sleepover shifts.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities highly desirable
- Experience in mental health and BOC
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 or 4 doses)
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
