**About the Role**

**Endeavour Tools **is seeking a highly specialized Automotive Mechanical Support Engineer to join our team. This position involves providing advanced technical support for automotive mechanical systems, requiring in-depth knowledge and expertise in both mechanical engineering and automotive technology. The role will be responsible for providing technical support to Australian customers for our heavy-duty diagnostic tools.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of automotive mechanical systems.
- Provide technical guidance to clients on maintenance and repair procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to enhance product performance and reliability, focusing on tools like scan tools.
- Develop, review, and refine technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to support field technicians and engineers.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve issues with component quality or design.
- Support warranty claims by assessing failures and validating repair or replacement needs through comprehensive technical analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Australian automotive standards and regulatory requirements in all technical support activities.

**Skills & Experience Required**
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Technology, or a closely related field.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy duty automotive systems and engines
- Prefer 5+ years of experience, ideally with an OEM such as ISUZU, FUSO, HINO etc.
- Familiarity with common automotive diagnostic protocols such as CAN, J1850, and ISO9141
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with customer service and technical support is preferred.
- Expertise in automotive diagnostic tools and software, including experience with diagnostic equipment such as scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters.

**Remuneration / Working Conditions**
- We are looking for a Melbourne based person to work with our team in Scoresby
- This is a permanent full-time position.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
