**Job Purpose**
To drive delivery of multiple inter-related engineering projects for a rapidly growing innovation business. The role will be responsible for driving a fast paced, global, cross-functional team to achieve key business deliverables.
**Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities**:
- Working closely with Product owners, DBB Engineering and Application Engineering teams lead the successful completion of projects.
- Coordinate development and refinement of budgets based on project scope, resource plans and other inputs.
- Manage projects through development and implementation stages according to timelines, client requirements and budget.
- Development of strategies and processes, along with mitigation strategies, in consultation with stakeholders to support the implementation of the program.
- Ensure program activities comply with corporate policy, audit and related ISO and FuSa requirements. Develop further policies as required to ensure business delivery and compliance.
- Work pro-actively with stakeholders to gain their support and endorsement by establishing contacts, conducting presentations/workshops and attending stakeholder meetings.
- Define program resourcing requirements early, including staff requirements, and managing the development and implementation of program on a day-to-day basis.
- Identify risks affecting delivery of project outcomes and develop appropriate mitigation and intervention strategies to ensure completion of program.
- Identify program dependencies and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure plans can be delivered.
- Develop and manage regular project plan/ reports.
- Mentor junior Program Officers/Managers.
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years’ experience in leading a complex program, preferably in an automotive or large-scale mechanical production environment.
- Leadership.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration and influencing skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail.
- Strong risk management skills. Resilient to work in a fast-paced evolving environment.
- Customer Focused (deliverables and outcomes).
- Teamwork - working closely with the leadership team to understand programs and drive successful completion.
- Adaptable and able to prioritise.
- Comfortable with complexity and multiple tasks.
**Experience / Knowledge / Technical Skills Required**:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, or a related degree.
- Further qualifications in program management desirable.
- Experience in an automotive production environment
- Understanding of operations, procedures and policies related to a specific business area.
- Excellent communicator, with strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Process Re-engineering, business improvement, change management.
- Experience working with Japanese corporations and speaking Japanese would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in using project management planning tools e.g. Gant charts;
- Microsoft Office Suite.
