A Council in South East Melbourne are looking for a Landscape Developer to join their team on a contract basis.

The contract is ranging from 6-9 months long covering maternity leave.

The role is not specifically for a Landscape Architect - there is no design involved in the role. But a landscape background is needed.

The role assesses developer submitted landscape plans against Council standards as part of the town planning process. It involves experience with town planning, developer liaison, good plant knowledge particularly around street trees and the assessment of parks and open space areas. It assesses landscape masterplans and landscape detailed design plans and approves these, as well as provides landscape permit conditions to the town planning team and advice on landscape to this team. It sits within the development team, so with engineers and surveillance officers but works closely with the open space and planning teams.
- Contract with full time hours (Open to part timers also)
- Preferably a band 6 but open to discussion around that if you have relevant experience
- Hourly rate negotiable dependent on experience
- Council experience preferred but not essential
- Hybrid role, working 2 days in the office
