The Block Treasury Operations team is looking to hire an APAC Treasury Manager to help develop our international Treasury function. This role presents the opportunity to build multiple Treasury functions across Block’s ecosystem of products including Cash App, Square, and Afterpay. This person will report to the Treasury Operations Lead in the US.

**Responsibilities**- Manage daily cash positioning, forecasting, and reporting activities for all products in the APAC region and partner with the Treasury team globally to create a true 24/7 liquidity function-
- Ensure that Afterpay has adequate financial resources to meet all debts as and when they become due and payable-
- Manage the settlement operations for Afterpay in the AU and NZ regions-
- Support product teams to launch new products and features-
- Manage SOX compliance and audit requests for the APAC region-
- Develop efficient bank account structures and manage opening/closing of accounts and updating signatories-
- Partner with Accounting on financial operations and reporting-
- Partner with Finance and Strategy teams to develop analyses and long-term forecasts-
- Manage relationships with bank partners both in the APAC region and across warehouse lenders-
- Support daily trading activities for Bitcoin activities-
- Act as Financial Manager for Afterpay under the Australian Credit Licence (ACL)-
- Manage financial resourcing for Afterpay and have responsibility for significant day to day decisions about management of financial resources-
- Provide regular updates to the Board on Afterpay’s compliance with financial resource requirements-
- Work closely with the Responsible Managers under the ACL in relation to financial resource requirements.-
- Work closely with the Tax Department in acting as a Public Officer (Tax) for Block’s consolidated tax group in Australia, relying on advice and support of the Tax Department and outside advisors-
- Serve as a director, as needed, on certain non-operating Australian entities within the Block legal entity structure**Qualifications**:
- 8+ years of experience in Corporate Treasury-
- Experience with core cash management and forecasting, Treasury Management Systems, and cash pooling structures-
- Strong understanding of financial and operational controls-
- Team player who is able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously and can work independently across multiple geographies-
- Process driven mindset with the ability to drive improvements and optimize/ automate as much as possible-
- Passion for Block. Strong interest in fintech and knowledge of the industry.-
- Strong math and quantitative analysis skills.-
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field**Additional Information**:
