Immunology Genetic Counsellor And/or Principal

The Principal Project Officer role will work with the Manager, Strategy and Planning to progress the development and delivery of the Child and Young Person Genomics project at Children's Health Queensland. The core deliverable of this project is the development and early implementation of a Service Model for Genomics at CHQ.
**Ideal attributes we are looking for**:
Principal Project Officer (see further details in attached Role Description)
- Knowledge and experience in project management, communication and computer skills, andassociated tools-Analysis, interpretation and presentation of different information and data sets-Clinical background as a Genetics Counsellor, including experience delivering high qualityevidenced based genetic counselling services to paediatric populations, service development,quality improvement, and clinical education.Track record of building and sustaining positive relationships with a broad range ofstakeholders, including children, young people and families, to support effectivecommunication, negotiation, consultation, and problem solving.
Genetic Councellor (see further details in attached Role Description)
- Ability to manage an allocated workload to deliver genetic counselling services for Queensland Paediatric Immunology and Allergy Service, including genetic risk assessment, support for genomic testing, and psychosocial support in line with standard genetic counselling practices.
- Collaborate on and undertake the development and evaluation of evidence-based clinical practices, policies and protocols for genetic counselling and genomic testing for Queensland Paediatric Immunology and Allergy Service.
- Provide education, direction and supervision for routine tasks to less experienced staff, students and support staff. Where appropriate, act as primary supervisor for student training.
- Demonstrate high level clinical and time management skills in screening and prioritising workload demands in a complex and high patient clinical environment.
