Brisbane, Australia Queensland Health Full time

The role
The role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the National Immunisation Program and state-funded immunisation programs in Queensland through the operationalisation of policy and strategic initiatives. This involves developing, monitoring, and reviewing key policy and action planning documents to ensure alignment with both state and national government strategies. The role also requires critically analysing policy changes at both levels, considering the unique demographics, geographic factors, and health system structure of Queensland to identify operational impacts and drive successful outcomes.
In addition, the role entails fostering and maintaining strategic partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to collaboratively implement frameworks and strategies that enhance program delivery. The role must also monitor and align with other relevant state and national priorities, ensuring that policy decisions meet community expectations while adhering to Queensland Health's core values, safety standards, and quality service delivery principles.
The successful person
To excel in this role, you will need a proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities while leading and overseeing complex state-wide projects. Your experience will include providing expert advice and guidance on health policy matters, particularly in environments that involve large-scale, multi-partner, and complex systems.
Additionally, you will possess advanced interpersonal, communication, consultation, and negotiation skills, enabling you to cultivate strong, high-functioning relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also have demonstrated the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a strong focus on fostering collective responsibility for achieving shared outcomes.
