An exciting opportunity has become available for experienced rostering professional to lead and manage the rostering of operational staff, ensuring rosters are developed in an efficient and effective manner that supports service levels of a 24/7 emergency operation.

**About the role**

This full time permanent position reports to the Senior Manager Operational Resourcing and sits within the Operational Logistics Division of AV. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Lead and manage the rostering of operational staff, ensuring rosters are developed in an efficient and effective manner that supports service levels of a 24/7 emergency operation.
- Ensure the Rostering hub provide appropriate and effective support to respective operational service delivery streams, including emergency services and non-emergency services.
- Make informed resource decisions, resolve issues and provide specialist advice within the parameters of AV policies, procedures and industrial awards and agreements.
- Ensure staff within the Rostering hub accurately update and maintain data in the rostering software system to ensure staff rostering, availability, function time, leave, overtime and time-bank are recorded and available for management reporting purposes.
- Manage the escalation and resolution of rostering issues including systems/processes and implement strategies to resolve those issues.

**About you**

To be considered for this position you will possess:

- Completion of a postgraduate degree in health, logistics, business or related discipline, or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high level relevant experience.
- Experience managing a team of staff with proven leadership and coaching skills.
- Analytical and problem solving skills to enable the identification of issues, analysis of options and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action relevant to achieving organisational goals.
- Ability to be available to work outside of ordinary working hours to provide advice, support or authoritative direction to other employees or managers involved in dealing with emergency or time critical incidents or issues (CAA1).
- A valid Victorian Drivers licence.

This position is graded at AV6 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2021.
