TEAM LEADER - HOME CLAIMS
The Team Leader is responsible for the day to day oversight and management of the operations of a team of Claims professionals across a range of portfolios.
The primary requirement is to support and develop the team to ensure a high standard of work and the delivery of exceptional customer service to our clients and their customers, in accordance with service level agreements and internal timeframes
**Responsibilities**:
- Providing leadership, direction and communication to team members- Regular monitoring and reporting on daily workflow, SLAs and KPIs including the completion of required claim activity, stakeholder engagement, timely claim closure rates- Recruitment and training of new staff and identifying/implementing individual professional development opportunities- Resource management to ensure adequate coverage across all portfolios to maintain service levels- Build, develop and maintain constructive working relationships with all stakeholders including attendance at relevant account management and claim review forums- Preparing and presenting management information and customer reports.- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement strategies within the business and overseeing projects to drive efficiency and effectiveness- Promote team effectiveness by leading by example and creating a workplace culture where colleagues demonstrate Sedgwick’s core values- Lead for performance by setting colleagues up for success by delivering coaching and mentoring, informal feedback and address underperformance- Conduct regular formal performance appraisals and collaborate with colleagues to prepare professional development plans
About you:
- Experience in people management, leadership and team engagement- Previous experience within insurance- Knowledge of what constitutes a great customer and client service experience.- Sound knowledge of the insurance industry (claims lifecycle) including the legislative framework, applicable codes and products.- Knowledge and understanding of the principle and procedures for processing insurance claims- Knowledge of claims regulations, legislations and compliance requirements- Knowledge of data management and reporting systems- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
