Assistant Business Manager

**About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to facilitate the financial operations of the Mental Health Facility by executing a range of financial functions in an autonomous manner, encompassing statutory requirements management, financial analysis, budget reporting, accrual accounting procedures, and general ledger activities, to support the Business Manager, Metro North Mental Health.
About you
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in comprehending and utilizing a diverse range of corporate financial and non-financial information systems to provide valuable management insights.
Provide strategic advice and guidance to the MNMH Executive, Directors, managers, and clinicians based on comprehensive analysis and interpretation of complex data extracted from corporate information systems. This will involve developing effective management strategies to optimize resource utilization, implement efficiency savings initiatives within funding constraints, and ensure the maintenance of a balanced budget for the MNMH Directorate.
Oversee the monthly reporting process, utilizing advanced analytical skills to comprehensively analyse the MNMH Directorate's service performance in terms of expenditure, full-time equivalent (FTE) staffing, and activity levels. Identify and explain any relevant variances and collaborate with the MNMH Executive to develop effective strategies for managing these variances and optimizing resource utilization to ensure the ongoing delivery of high-quality mental health services.
