The role The Assistant Business Manager is responsible for the effective and timely coordination of business support functions enabling business continuity and success. The position provides quality assurance in the form of valuable and ethical compliance and governance, assisting management's decision-making processes. This role is also required to assist senior management by coordinating and managing financial, human resource management and procurement processes for the division.
The successful personYou will have demonstrated ability to prepare and analyse financial, procurement and human resource management reports to assist decision-making as well as utilising relevant software. You will also have proven effective consultative, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution. In addition, you will have demonstrated ability to successfully manage a range of activities and projects with conflicting timeframes.

The Business Services Branch works in collaboration with each division within the Department of Health to provide expert human resource, financial and procurement advice. The branch delivers timely, customer-focused administrative support enabling divisions to meet strategic and operational priorities.
The Corporate Services Division provides support services necessary for Queensland Health to function effectively and deliver essential health services. The Division is responsible for major corporate functions including financial, legal and human resources services, information management services and overseeing key governance functions such as risk, audit and compliance.
