ISD Solutions are currently looking to hire a Architectural draftsperson for there office based in Brisbane.

We have recently secured a number of long term contracts and are experiencing significant growth.

**Production of Drawings and Project Work**

Prepare drawings from structural engineers and architects’ drawings or from tenders, specifications, and site surveys and obtain approval where necessary.

Contribute to BIM projects, 3D outputs, clash detection COBie data and project co-ordination.

Raising RFI’s. Engage in effective communication methods with clients, supply chain, sub-contractors and internal project managers.

**Maintaining Input Post Order**

Understand procurement and lead times, obtain client approval for drawings, produce accurate material schedules, meet deadlines / programmes.

Assist in the management of costs and be able to provide value engineered solutions.

Revise drawings as required.

Identify information required and raise request for information using correct protocols.

Ensuring the design is carried out in accordance with the agreed scope of works and contract budget.

Regular liaison with client, external supply chain and colleagues.

Production of O & M manuals.

Highlight and record project variations internally and recognise value engineering opportunities.

**External Meeting and Client Liaison**

Attend site survey visits to take accurate full site measurements to assist in producing drawings.

Attend site surveys to confirm specification and survey access.

Attend meetings throughout the contract process and after completion to build relationships and ensure we have met the clients’ expectations.

**Experience and skills**

1- 2 years in a similar role is essential.

Advanced skills in design engineering and technical drawing. Application of project Gannt chart, milestones and critical path techniques.

Ability to use all features of Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, and related specialist IT packages.

Experience in Revit (desirable).

Competence in IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Mentor and development of other designers

Possess good English communication skills, both written and verbal. These skills are essential for performing the duties and responsibilities associated with the position.

**Knowledge and Qualifications**

Understanding of site surveys.

Degree Qualified within a relevant field.

High Technical understanding of engineering and architect drawings.

Technical knowledge of ISD’s products and services.

Broad understanding of materials and installation methods within our market sector.

Knowledge of the Company’s processes and systems for design work in support of projects.

Full understanding of ISD’s project and contracting processes including approval of variations.

Construction-based qualifications e.g. HND, HNC.

Knowledge and understanding of NCC

Full driving licence.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
