Telecommunications Technician Sydney Nbn

Mr Telco Sydney Phone & Internet technicians are looking for a self-starter who is motivated and enthusiastic able to work autonomously and having experience in both residential and commercial telecommunication cabling, installation & repairs (or willing to be trained).

We are currently hiring Australia wide across major capital cities including **Sydney**, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hobart, Newcastle & Wollongong.

**Daily duties would include**:
Installation of phone & data cabling in residential/commercial properties both internal and underground conduit installation.

Testing NBN/VDSL connections for SYNC/dropping out issues

Diagnosing customer PC's/modems for any connection issues (eg. logging into router web interface)

Fault finding POTS and any customer premises wiring/sockets/MODE-3 alarm sockets.

MDF Jumpering for Business & Residential (FNN & ULL services)

Setting up wireless modem connection settings and wireless ethernet extenders.

NBN Cabling from NTD into customer premise & Configuration of modems

NBN Experience preferred across the multi-technologies FTTN/FTTC/FTTB/FTTH.

**Desirable Skills**:
Any router/switch CISCO experience.

Phone System Installation & Maintenance

Installation/understanding of fibre optic cabling

Understanding of Telstra guidelines for pipe/installation/cabling techniques.

**Desirable Tools**:
ADSL/VDSL Tester / HST3000

Krone Tool & jumper wire

General Industry hand tools (eg hole saw, gyprock saw, cordless drills, wall snake)

Underground rodder

Ladders / Step / Extension

F-Set / Cable Tracer / DMM / Buttinski

If you don't have a VDSL tester or any other equipment we will supply them which you can have the option to pay off.

Majority of the work is scheduled in advance and you are paid fortnightly into your nominated bank account.

You may wish to take on some work while you are working for other sub-contracting companies, however we'd love if you can give us a majority of your time.

**About You?**

You'll have tons of experience working previously as a telecommunications technician sub-contractor or cabler, a great attitude and takes particular eye to details. Making the customers happy is our main priority so having excellent customer service skills is a MUST.

If you've got experience working or sub-contracting with any of the major telco's that would be a bonus and favorably looked upon and having experience installing cabling inside residential and business premises.

Sub-Contractors must have the following:

- PTY Registered Business
- Commercial vehicle or station wagon (pref white) or if you require a vehicle, we can lease a brand new vehicle to you.
- ACMA License with structured cabling endorsement (pref)
- Valid Australian motor vehicle driver's license
- Workers Compensation Insurance/Income Protection Insurance
- Public and Property Liability Insurance
- White Card
- Laptop/Mobile Phone 3G/4G
- Appropriate tools of trade & relevant skills and test equipment
- Proof of Work Rights in Australia - Birth Certificate / Passport / Pref Australian Citizen
