**The Role**
Defence Legal is seeking a high performing human resource professional to join the Directorate of Legal Capability - Military (DLC-M). You will play a pivotal role in shaping Defence’s Military Legal Service (MLS) workforce.

The role coordinates, manages and reports on all aspects of the MLS workforce including ADF members, APS employees and contractors. You will provide MLS senior leadership clear, considered and strategic advice and reports. This role has responsibility for ensuring all workforce-related policies and communications are up to date and well promoted, from recruitment, on boarding, induction, training and providing workforce relations advice and/or support to MLS members.

You will have responsibility for developing communication products and channels to support workforce messaging such as internet and intranet sites, distribution lists and MLS communication channels. You will also prepare workforce reports and contribute to MLS meetings to ensure workforce matters are addressed at the highest levels.

**About our Team**
DLC-M is a small team integrated team of ADF and APS responsible for the management of the military legal capability for legal officers in all Services and Service Categories. DLC-M is involved in all critical milestones in a legal officer’s career. This includes engagement with Defence Force Recruiting, providing advice and recommendations to the Service career management agencies on a range of matters (including postings and promotions), maintaining oversight over ongoing legal training and advancement, workforce planning, and the management of the reserve Service Delivery Panels (non-exhaustive list).
