About the job

We are on the search for a quality focused leader and strong collaborator who is seeking to utilise their industrial project management and systems expertise to support the implementation and ongoing development of all Alcoa’s Global Capital Project Management Systems.

Driven by standardising processes with a forward-thinking approach, you will have the opportunity to make a global impact on the capital portfolio that consists of over 3000 projects across four regions and work closely with business leadership to ensure Alcoa’s systems meet the diverse current and future needs shaping our operations.

Your key areas of responsibility and where you’ll add the most value will be:
- Project Systems and Processes: Acting as the Business Process Owner for all global Capital Project Systems including Oracle Unifier (GCMS), P6, MSP, InEight Doc, Engineering software & systems, working closely with the Alcoa ITAS team, capital team and external consultants to ensure ongoing systems support.- Project Systems Development and Analytics: Driving systems improvements and enhancements to meet the changing needs of the business whilst leading and improving the data analytics, dashboards and reporting to support transparency across all key project metrics to drive better project outcomes.- Policy & Procedures: Developing and reviewing Alcoa project standards for all Capital Systems, Project Controls, and Portfolio / Program Management.- Project Management Support: Supporting our IT & Automation Solutions team with systems related capital projects.- Future Strategy: Defining the capital systems roadmap providing medium to long term strategic direction and bringing new ideas to life by remaining abreast of current technologies that may influence the future roadmap.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone that is:
- Well-rounded in Projects, Finance, Systems, Economic Modelling and Technology with a career background working within an industrial environment. Degree qualifications / Project Management certifications will be well regarded.- Focused on bringing new ideas and innovation to drive productivity and efficiencies that will take our capital portfolio to the next level.- An analytical thinker and strong communicator, that thrives on sharing knowledge and working collaboratively with an ability to lead, influence and bring everyone on the journey.- Well-developed in understanding of systems, audit & control processes with high personal ethical and quality standards.- Results oriented with a proven track record in managing, implementing and rolling out new systems and processes including supporting procedures, standards, documentation and training.- Has a flexible work approach with occasional travel to various WA sites and monthly night calls to connect with global colleagues.
