The **Australian Institute of Music**, or **AIM**, is seeking a Student Success Manager to join our Student Experience and Success team. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering an overall strategy to provide the highest quality of educational support to students at AIM.

Reporting to the Head of Student Experience and Success, the Student Success Manager is required to:

- Provide face to face and online support and guidance to students on study pathways, enrolment, study load options and progression enquiries
- Work collaboratively with the Wellbeing Manager to ensure students are offered appropriate academic and personal support
- Liaise with students identified as at risk of not meeting course progression requirements to develop appropriate intervention plans and strategies
- Ensure that academic progression decisions adhere to applicable AIM policies and procedures
- Actively monitor attendance patterns at unit and course level and provide advice on action plans
- Participate in open day activities and other promotional events for prospective students
- Routinely follow up with students on deferral (leave of absence) to assist with a return to study plans and enrolments
- Ensure that details of academic support programs, including workshops, are appropriately communicated to students
- Assist with planning and on-campus event management of Orientation weeks

Experience and Attributes:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor’s degree)
- Demonstrated professional experience in the development and provision of student support initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to work positively and harmoniously with staff and students of all cultures and backgrounds
- In depth understanding of relevant legislation and Standards including AQF levels, HESF, the ESOS Act and the National Code
- Understanding of student needs and an ability to support students to meet course and unit study requirements
- Demonstrated experience of developing approaches and interventions to enhance student satisfaction, progression and course completion
- Ability to manage projects ensuring critical deadlines are met, and that risks, issues and resources required are effectively managed
- Ability to work in a team and exceptional communication skills, with a positive and practical approach to both students and staff
- Creativity in solving problems and generating innovative solutions
