Our client, a boutique Law Firm based in Brisbane's CBD, have exclusively retained us to find their new Information & Technology Manager. This Senior Leadership role will see you take full ownership of Technology at both an operational and strategic level. To be successful in this role you will come from a professional services background, be hands on, autonomous and have an appetite for leading projects including process improvement, system upgrades and implementations. You will report into one of the Senior Partners and sit on the Technology committee at Board level in addition to leading a small team.

Our client describes their culture as autonomous, social, cohesive and family orientated with an average tenure of over 6 years, retention and employee experience are very important to them. To display this my client even pays an overtime allowance for system upgrades and maintenance.

**Your Previous Experience**
- You have demonstrated experience in the management of virtual environments - VMware vSphere and virtual desktop experience essential.
- You will bring demonstrated ability to articulate technology issues and solutions to non-IT managers.
- You have had previous experience with board presentations.
- You have demonstrated supervisory and management skills.
- You will have had industry experience within a Legal Practice or Professional Services Environment.

**Your Key Deliverables**
- You will develop the IT strategy and future direction.
- You will manage the IT team, service delivery, support and project delivery including key vendor relationships.
- You will ensure the performance and high availability of the IT systems and manage technical issues associated with the IT infrastructure and software architecture of the firm.
- You will be able to ensure integrity and security of the firm's data and systems.
- You will Improve efficiency and help to streamline business processes.
- You will ensure maintenance of all hardware and software.
- Ensure expedient and succinct communication with users as appropriate.
- You will manage the creation and maintenance of system documentation.
- You will develop and implement the IT Disaster Recovery plan and Security Incident plan.
- You will liaise regularly with practice groups to discuss precedents and IT innovation projects.
- You will manage precedent capabilities and style improvements.

**Your Key Accountabilities**
- You will be responsible for the firm's ICT infrastructure which includes all workstations, servers, storage, firewalls, photocopiers, printers, network equipment, telecommunications, cloud services and software.
- You will work closely with partners and management to understand the future needs and direction of the firm and recommend provide technological solutions
- You will build and maintain relationships with external service providers and consultants, as well as internally with other members of staff to address their day-to-day requirements.
- You will be expected to complete a personal development plan for each staff member yearly.
- You will update registers, documentation, policies and procedures that can be accessed in a central location and provide a detailed audit.
