Job Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter responsible for preventative maintenance, faultfinding and breakdowns on a range of manufacturing equipment. You will work as part of a team which values teamwork and showing flexibility to assist each other where required. The role requires an experienced 'hands on' individual who is able to work day and afternoon shifts and be on call. This position is within the Maintenance Team, located in Dandenong South and reporting directly to the Facility & Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities
- Proven understanding of the operation and maintenance procedures of all site equipment.
- Uphold innovative approach to the position with a view to improve efficiency in the operation and performance in all areas.
- Be able to work in a highly Dynamic manner to ensure that downtime is minimized, and plant efficiency Is optimized.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of all maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team.
- Exercise strong planning and organizational skills.
- Able to undertake shiftwork. And respond to on call.
- Troubleshooting analysis skills.
- Contribute to maintaining zero LTI site.
- Excellent communication Skills.

Required Experience
- Mechanical and/or electrical trade qualifications
- Maintenance fitter trade qualifications preferably in manufacturing
- Food/FMCG manufacturing experience
- Able to work on Basic electrical works like test and tag, Fault finding etc.
- Confined Space certificate
- EWP license
- Forklift license
- Knowledge experience in servicing equipment to include - mechanical components, bearings and pneumatics.
- Maintenance database experience

Preferred Experience
- 3 years in a food manufacturing environment and compliance standard.
- Knowledge about Spare parts interpreting
- Experience in Maintenance Planning
