A leading supplier of commercial baking supplies, ingredients and frozen products for the food industry in the CBD, has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced maintenance and preventative maintenance fitter to be responsible for managing mechanical breakdowns, routine maintenance and preventative maintenance.
The key responsibilities include;
- Supporting the maintenance supervisor to ensure the maintenance goals are met;
- Undertaking all work in compliance with Health and Safety legislation
- Managing preventative and Routine maintenance
- Performing mechanical maintenance and preparing routine maintenance
- Notifying the Maintenance supervisor when parts are required
- Taking a pro active approach
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Communication with key stakeholders including production managers and key personnel
To be successful in obtaining this role, you will have
- Mechanical or maintenance trade qualifications
- Proven maintenance experience
- Knowledge in the food industry will be advantageous but not essential
- The ability to work autonomously
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
