State and Communities Education Reporter

**What’s the role?**

The S&C Education Reporter is responsible for the curation and delivery of compelling, high-quality education content across all State & Communities (S&C) mastheads, including The Herald Sun, The Daily Telegraph, Adelaide Advertiser and The Courier Mail. This role is critical in driving digital engagement, informing readers on key public and private sector education issues, and supporting national strategy through collaboration with local newsrooms.

**Key Responsibilities**:
+ Reporting to the National Education Editor, write national education content across print, digital, newsletters, and social media platforms

+ Help coordinate the education content calendar, key deadlines, and publication workflows

+ Assist audience engagement through data-led storytelling, tailored to reader interests and platform trends

+ Collaborate with S&C masthead teams and internal stakeholders to align content with national strategy and optimize reach

+ Champion innovation, collaborate with contributing journalists, and promote a diverse and inclusive newsroom culture

**Who are you?**

+ Proven ability to develop and execute content that drives audience engagement and growth.

+ Strong understanding of digital publishing, audience analytics, and SEO best practices.

+ Sound editorial judgment, ensuring content meets high standards of accuracy, legality, and relevance.

+ Leadership skills to foster innovation, mentorship, and collaboration across teams.
