About the School
QASMT is an academically selective entry, co-educational state school for highly-capable students in Years 7 to 12. The Academy is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and is proud to uphold the values of an IB education.

The IB DP is a demanding pre-university course of study assessed by external examinations. - Students in Years 7 - 10 study the IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and a Diploma Preparation Program.
- QASMT currently offers the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) as its core curriculum in Years 11 & 12.
- QASMT is partnered with the University of Queensland who offer a range of enrichment programs to nurture our highly capable students.

About the Role
The suitable applicant will be a high calibre, outstanding curriculum Head of Department with a contemporary leadership style focussed on collegial engagement, collaboration and innovation in order to foster and drive continuous improvement throughout the Academy.
In addition, the role requires a passionate, high-energy leader who is able to work in a fast-paced, high expectations environment, with a proven record of accomplishment of working with high achieving students. Experience with the IB curriculum, whilst valued, is not a requirement for this role.
